Inception Report SustainPalm 30 June 2023
This program aims to implement and scale up sustainable practices in palm oil production systems to improve environmental, social, and economic performance.
The scope of the program is to :
1) Implementing each proposed technology with customers (companies, smallholders) to serve as inspiring demonstrations.
2) Prepare for scaling by consolidating best practices in knowledge institutes and service providers.
3) Contribute to dialogues to foster enabling financial mechanisms, public and private policy, certification, impact monitoring, and market uptake needed for implementation and scaling.
4) Monitor best practices and their impacts.
Progress Report SustainPalm November 2022 - October 2023
The SustainPalm project aims to strengthen the shared interest in palm oil between the
Netherlands and Indonesia. Connected via the value chain, the two countries are dedicated to
contributing constructively to implementing viable, impactful strategies that promote
sustainability across the entire palm oil production process.
